Police have made a desperate plea for assistance in finding a 12-year-old girl who went missing from Sydney’s southwest.

Rielle Rose, 12, was last seen in Chester Hill at about 5.30pm on Wednesday and has not been seen since, NSW Police said on Friday.

Her family and officers have said they are concerned for her welfare due to her young age.

Police, under Bankstown Police Area Command, were called in and have launched inquiries into her whereabouts.

Rielle is described as being white, about 150cm (five foot) tall, of slim build, and with long black hair.

She was last seen wearing all black clothing and white shoes.

NSW Police said she is known to use public transport and frequents the St Helens Park, Edmondson Park, Villawood, Liverpool, Chester Hill and Campbelltown areas.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts has been urged to contact Bankstown Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
