New South Wales Premier Dominic Perrottet has admitted to the ‘occasional vape’, with ‘mixed fruit’ being his preferred flavour

‘It’s a big issue for everyone. I got so hooked on it Premier. It is so hard to get off it, cause you just crave it all day.’

Mr Perrottet replied: ‘That’s why you’ve got to have a prescription’.

The Premier explained many people, himself included, used a vape as a way to stop smoking cigarettes.

‘I think for a lot of kids, that’s the challenge, we want to make sure that we’re not encouraging younger people to get into vaping or smoking,’ Mr Perrottet said.

‘It’s a balance and we’ve got to get it right.’

In NSW e-cigarettes that contain nicotine are available to purchase through prescriptions only, however vapes are regularly sold among the black market.
