A Nikola Jokic 40-footer as the buzzer sounded hit the backboard and swished as the Denver Nuggets stunned the Golden State Warriors 130-127 on Thursday night.

The Nuggets trailed by as many as 18 in the fourth quarter, but ended the game on a 23-4 run to shock the Warriors on their home court.

Jokic finished the game with 34 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds. His game-winner sent the Nuggets into euphoria at mid-court.

The night looked destined to be a Golden State win, especially after Steph Curry’s incredible dribble from his knees that turned into a step-back jumper.

The Nuggets led by seven at halftime, leading to each of the latter two quarters containing massive momentum swings.

The Warriors outscored the Nuggets 44-24 in the third quarter to take a commanding lead with star forward Draymond Green still suspended by the NBA.

ESPN reported Thursday that Green was expected to return to the team facility in the coming days in anticipation of a return, though coach Steve Kerr did not confirm the report before the game.

Denver mounted a ferocious comeback, with Jokic tying the game with 26 seconds left on a jumper.

A Curry turnover led to Jokic’s desperation game-winner in San Francisco.

Jokic led all scorers with 34 points, while Aaron Gordon and Jamal Murray added 30 and 25 respectively.

Curry was the Warriors leading scorer with 30 points.

Golden State will be without Gary Payton II for another extended stretch because of a strained hamstring. The Warriors said Patyon will be re-evaluated in three weeks.
