It’s believed the 29-year-old woman was crossing the road in front of Sunshine Hospital about 9.50pm on Monday when a dark-coloured utility went through the red light at a pedestrian crossing and hit her before fleeing.

She was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Police believe the vehicle they are seeking will have damage to the left front.

Officers have appealed for witnesses or anyone who may have dash camera footage to come forward.
