NYC man tries to slash man with box cutter and hits him with car in road rage video

Road rage took over the streets of Brooklyn when a New York man tried to slash an Uber driver with a box cutter then violently drove him against another vehicle.

Kevin McClean, 46, launched his rampage against a 24-year-old Uber driver Justin Ramos in Greenpoint on Tuesday.

His angry tirade was captured on video, displaying the moment the Queens man tried again and again to stab Ramos with his box cutter as the driver avoided his blows and tried to punch him back while in the middle of the street.

The two men left their car doors open as they got into their brawl in the middle of the road

The two men left their car doors open in the middle of a busy intersection as they went head to head.

As Ramos backs away and puts up his hands defensively in the clip, McClean moves closer and closer, whipping around the box cutter menacingly.

Then a bystander intervenes, holding Ramos back as McClean allegedly rushes into the driver’s car, grabs his keys, then bolts into his own vehicle, according to the New York Daily News.

Ramos furiously tried to grab his keys back from McClean’s car window, as McClean drives forward.

As he drove he struck Ramos, sending him reeling back to hit a black van behind him.

McClean then continued to drive, sandwiching Ramos in between the two vehicles where his head hit a rear-view mirror, and he was sent flying in the air before toppling onto the ground.

He was thrown against the van so hard that his shoe fell off.

McClean was arrested and charged with attempted murder, robbery, assault, reckless endangerment, menacing and leaving the scene of an accident.

He was released on $100,000 bail this weekend.

Despite the action caught on video, McClean insists that the video is misleading.

‘They’ll see what happens. It’s not what it looks like. I know and it’s going to come out what really happened soon,’ McClean said to the Daily News on Sunday.

Cops say that McClean has a lengthy criminal history.

Assistant District Attorney Cory Jones said the altercation followed after both Ramos and McLean’s cars went ‘airborne’ during a crash.

‘Most importantly (in this case), there were no serious injuries,’ McClean’s lawyer said, adding that Ramos instigated the fight.
