NYPD identifies two suspects in Times Square hit-and-run

New York police have identified the two men wanted for the hit-and-run collision with an NYPD officer in Times Square which was captured on camera late Saturday night.

Police want to question Arfhy Santos, 20, and William Lopez, 24, over the incident in which an officer was carried on the hood of a moving Mercedes-Benz C63 after he tried to get the driver to hit the brakes, according to the New York Post.

The shocking video shows the moment the police officer, who has been identified as Ian Wallace, 26,  was knocked down and dragged by a car as it sped off during a traffic stop in Manhattan Saturday night.

Wallace motioned to the black Mercedes after the driver was allegedly doing donuts near Times Square around 11.45pm, the New York Post reports.

When he approached the car, seemingly to speak with the driver, the driver sped off straight into the officer.
