Offset channels Michael Jackson in the cover art for his new album Set It Off due out October 13

Just a few months after recreating one of Michael Jackson’s iconic looks for a movie premiere, Offset has channelled the King of Pop once more for his new album cover.

The 31-year-old rapper (born Kiari Kendrell Cephus) has long been an MJ fan, even dressed up as Jackson in 2022 as well.

The album cover features the rapper dressed in a black sequined suit similar to his 2022 costume with high-water pants, black shoes and one white sequined glove.

The album cover features the rapper seemingly falling, transposed against an upside down shot of several exploding buildings and cars.

He also shared a link for fans to pre-save the album to streaming services such as Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon Music, YouTube Music and Deezer.

The rapper has previously shared clips of a new music video dropping on Friday, which appears heavily influenced from Michael Jackson’s iconic Thriller video.

He even shared an image of his Jackson tattoo on his side in a social media image on Wednesday.

The album has been a long time coming, delayed over a year due to various issues, first with his Migos label Quality Control Music.

Back in early August, Offset filed documents to dismiss the lawsuit against Quality Control Music with prejudice.

The rapper claimed QC was trying to control the rights to his solo work on top of his work with Migos, and not honoring the deal they struck.

Sources told TMZ in August that Offset won’t join QC as a solo artist, but their differences have been settled, with Offset releasing his solo work on Motown.

The album was also delayed after his Migos collaborator Takeoff was killed in Houston at just 28 years of age.

Offset brought in his wife Cardi B for the single Jealousy, which debuted in late July, thought it seems that she will be making more appearances on the album.

The rapper admitted in late July that he was lying when he claimed his wife Cardi B was cheating on him in a social media post.

The 31-year-old Migos rapper said in a since-deleted post, ‘My wife f****d a n**** on me gang yall n***** know how I come,’ which lead Cardi to shoot back and say he was ‘spiraling.’

While cooler heads ultimately prevailed, the rapper (born Kiari Kendrell Cephus) appeared on the Way Up with Angela Yee podcast, where he admitted he was fighting with his wife and ‘lit’ on tequila when he made the post to make her mad.

‘That post, to be honest… that’s my wife. I love her to death, but we’re going back and forth and if you’ve got a New York woman, you know, she’s a pitbull at the mouth,’ Offset admitted.

‘She get crazy at the mouth a little bit and I was really lit that night. I was lit, had a little Casamigos here and there,’ he admitted.

‘I was lit and we’re going back and forth and I’m like, “Watch this,”‘ he said, referring to the post that he later deleted.

‘She got a crazy mouth, but I love my wife at the end of the day. But she crazy, man. I’m crazy. We’re crazy for each other,’ Offset admitted.
