A young mother has been charged after allegedly tying a brown plastic bag over her two-year-old daughter’s head for 30 minutes.
Queridea Young, 24, appeared before a judge yesterday and held on child endangering charge at the Hamilton County jail, Ohio.
Young allegedly sent a picture of her daughter with the bag over her head to the child’s paternal grandmother and stated in the text that the bag had been left over her head for half an hour, court records show.
Venus White, the child’s grandmother, said she called police after being sent an image.

She added that Young is a good mother and that the alleged crime was ‘out of her character’.
White allegedly said: ‘I’m gonna put this bag over her head. And let her see how this feel.’
Young’s bond was set $25,000 by a judge and ordered the wear an electronic monitoring bracelet upon release.
White believes that Young had a mental break down and hopes that she receives the help she needs.
She said: ‘This right here is out of her character. She’s a good mom. She’s not a bad mother.’
White said she is now looking to gain custody of her granddaughter. At the moment, the child is staying with her father.
