So when American designer Oleg Cassini’s affordable high-end dresses were brought to Australian shores in 2017, thousands of brides across the nation were able to breathe a sigh of relief.
Now, two months on from its arrival, the label is preparing to launch a brand new collection for 2018 – and every dress costs just $999.

True to the label’s signature, contemporary style, the collection has taken classic wedding dress silhouettes and added modern elements to create the perfect gown for the contemporary fashion savvy bride.
Featuring splashes of lilac, blush and silver grey as well as heavily embellished lace and beautiful beading, the creations allow brides to feel like a princess on their big day – minus the royal budget.
The gowns all have their own unique twist whether it’s low backs, illusion mesh panels or feature bows and there is a design for every bride.

The gowns also come in high-low options, two piece options and tea length as well as some of the more traditional full length A-line, ballgown and sheath dresses.
‘We have also taken some of our brides favourite aspects from the last collection and included them in this collection,’ an Oleg Cassini spokesperson said.
‘Think pockets, cotton lace and sheer bodice details coupled with the Oleg Cassini signature beautiful laces, detailed beading and flattering silhouettes.’

The iconic American bridal designer, who was born in Russia and passed away in 2006, was is widely regarded as the creator of modern bridal gown and was responsible for designing dresses for the likes of Grace Kelly and First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.

Described as the ‘modern bride’s dream’, his current selection of over 200 wedding dresses includes all styles from whimsical princess, modern glamour, sleek fitted gowns, short, mermaid shape, strapless and sleeved, there is a dress to suit everyone – all from a mere $299.

The Long Sleeve Illusion Lace Wedding Dress costs $999 – it is crafted of appliqued lace and features a dramatic tiered train
The most affordable dress available, the Sheath Wedding Dress with Beading and Side Drape, costs just $299 and is all about bringing out the bride’s inner goddess.
Simple yet chic, the dress is complemented by vintage-inspired beading at the waistline and features a graceful draped skirt and bodice.
Other dresses under $1,000 range from stunning lace and chiffon numbers to A-line creations, satin ball gown style looks and mermaid style dresses.
The most expensive design on offer is the Lace ballgown capsleeve wedding dress, which costs $3,549.
Perfect for the modern day princess, the ballgown is made with lace and finished with sweet sheer lace capsleeves.
It also features a feminine sweetheart neckline and elegant v-back.

Another favourite at the higher end is the Blush Floral Applique Gown which costs $3,399 and features a delicate embroidered appliqué with a touch of shimmer.
