Olivia Molly Rogers has shared details about her first marriage and how she nearly didn’t make it down the aisle.

The former Miss Universe Australia, 33, took to Instagram on Tuesday to answer some of her fans’ questions on her story.

One question, which asked about her previous marriage to Justin McKeone and why she went through with it, saw the influencer open up like never before about why she was unsure about the big decision.

‘My boundaries weren’t being respected, there were patterns of behaviour I didn’t agree with and I had come to realise our values were not aligned.’

She went on: ‘Something significant happened in the relationship a couple of days before the wedding that was very upsetting for me.’

While she considered calling off the nuptials, she felt that she had ‘too much to lose’ and was worried about how it would impact her friends and family who had flown over to be there for the big day.

‘I am also an optimist and I hoped things would improve,’ she confessed.

Olivia went on to reveal that the only person who knew about the situation at the time was her mum – even her bridesmaids were in the dark about the bride’s cold feet.

‘The night before the wedding, I cried all night and hardly slept.

‘I had this idea in my head that once you’re married you’re “more solid” in your relationship but that certainly is not the case (well, it wasn’t for me).

‘I guess what I hope others can learn from this is to listen to your gut – if you are hesitant to tell the people close to you about what is going on in your relationship, there’s a high chance that things aren’t right.’

Later on, she posted a clip on her Instagram story revealing that she was feeling ‘really vulnerable’ after posting about her former marriage.

Wearing a denim jacket, a slicked back bun and fresh faced makeup look, she opened up about her decision to post the story and the stress it caused.

‘My hands are shaking, my heart is racing,’ she told the camera, before adding that she was really tempted to take the story down.

Olivia confirmed her split from finance expert Justin in October 2022, after just eight months of marriage.

Break-up rumours began swirling in September after fans noticed she’d reverted to her maiden name on Instagram and unpinned all photos from her February wedding.

The former couple, who met in 2018, were last pictured together in August 2022 in a series of loved-up holiday snaps from their trip to New York City.

Olivia addressed her break-up in an Instagram post on October 3.

‘After 4.5 years together, Justin and I have come to the difficult decision to separate as a couple,’ she wrote.

‘I do not wish to make any further statements about this in the near future.

‘Please respect our decision and privacy at this time. Thank you for all your private DMs, kindness and support.’
