Olivia Munn holds baby daughter Méi June Mulaney in sweet snap marking Breast Cancer Awareness Month

She’s been open with fans about her health battle.

And Olivia Munn shared a sweet new snap of her newborn daughter Méi June Mulaney as she marked Breast Cancer Awareness Month on Wednesday.

Munn, 41, who was diagnosed with breast cancer last year and welcomed her second child via surrogate in September, described her health journey as she marveled at now being a mother of two.

The adorable snap saw the beaming actress hold her daughter as she sat cross-legged on a couch.

‘This time last year I was recovering from my fourth surgery and now I’m hanging with my baby girl,’ she captioned the post.

‘Breast Cancer Awareness Month just started. Last year I was diagnosed with bilateral Luminal B breast cancer. There were many people integral to saving my life but it was my OB-GYN @drthaisaliabadi who set me on the path to survival. She used the Tyrer-Cuzick Risk Assessment Test to calculate my risk of getting breast cancer. My high score led me down a road of many tests that resulted in a cancer diagnosis.

‘The test is free, online and takes only a few minutes. To take it you can either google “Tyrer-Cuzick Test” or you can go to Dr. Aliabadi’s website SheMD.org (@shemdpodcst) and also get action items on what to do depending on your percentage of risk.

‘To everyone who is battling or has battled cancer, in whatever form, I send you all my love.’

Olivia and her husband John Mulaney recently welcomed Mei, their second child together, via surrogate. They also share son Malcolm.

The actress revealed in March of this year that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer in April 2023, and since then she has undergone multiple surgeries – including a double mastectomy and hysterectomy – with the treatment putting her into medically induced menopause.

She previously revealed she had frozen her eggs and undergone egg retrieval in the hopes of expanding her family with John.

Last month Olivia and John surprised fans with news they had welcomed a second child via surrogate.

‘Méi June Mulaney came into the world September 14, 2024, the year of the dragon,’ Olivia captioned the post.

‘I had so many profound emotions about not being able to carry my daughter. When I first met our gestational surrogate we spoke mother to mother. She showed me so much grace and understanding, I knew I had found a real-life angel. Words cannot express my gratitude that she kept our baby safe for 9 months and made our dreams come true.

‘I am so proud of my little plum, my little dragon for making the journey to be with us. My heart has exploded. Méi (pronounced may) means plum in Chinese.’
