Olivia Newton-John’s iconic leather outfit from Grease is expected to sell for a whopping $300,000 at auction.

According to 9Honey, the leather pants and jacket could fetch anywhere between $145,000 and $300,000 when they go under the hammer in LA on Saturday.

It comes after Olivia, 71, revealed that she had to be stitched into the tight pants, which she wore during her famous performance of You’re the One That I Want.

‘The pants have a broken zip and I had to be stitched into them because they were made in the ’50s,’ Olivia said.

Another item set to go under the hammer is Olivia’s pink dress that she wore to the Grease premiere in 1978, which is expected to sell for between $4,400 and $7,300.

Last month, Olivia spoke to Australia’s Today show about the auction, saying it’s the ‘real deal’.

She also described the auction as a ‘grand scale garage sale’.

Olivia hinted that most of the outfits will have a hefty price tag, given the fact that Grease is one of the most successful films of all time.

‘If you’re a billionaire with a granddaughter who loved Grease, this is for you!’ she said with a laugh.

Olivia, who is battling stage-four breast cancer, will donate some of the proceeds to her Melbourne-based charity, the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Centre.

She also said the auction is ‘about simplifying life,’ as she has accumulated so much movie memorabilia over the years.

According to the auctioneer, Olivia’s collection includes more than 200 items, including outfits she has worn in films and television shows.

The auction takes place in Beverly Hills on November 2 and will be broadcast live via the Julien’s Auctions website.
