The wife of an Olympic swimmer who won gold with his Mean Machine relay team, has been arrested over a $2 million fraud scheme after returning to Australia from Bali.
Linda Brooks was arrested late last week when she flew into Perth from Bali, where she and her husband Neil, who won gold at the 1980 Moscow Olympics, were believed to be living.
Ms Brooks faced a Perth court on fraud charges on Monday, with police alleging her victim lost $1.95 million in the scheme.

Detective Inspector Melissa Anderson said Linda Brooks faced fraud charges in relation to a business venture, A Current Affair reported.
‘Police will be alleging that she was a director of a sports manufacturing company that made false representations in relation to that financial venture, inducing a person to purchase a 50 percent share of the company,’ she said.
Ms Brooks was granted bail when she appeared in a Perth court on Monday.
She was ordered to reappear in a Queensland court on November 13.
