Florals are a staple of most summer collections, but this season they’re packing more of a punch than normal. Featuring big, bold flowers, graphic lines, and earthy, retro colour-ways, 1960s and 1970sinspired prints were seen on the SS22 runways at Anna Sui, Richard Quinn, Missoni and Etro. On the High Street, throwback florals have been splashed across dresses in modern silhouettes. Avoid anything too whimsical: this is edgier than the classic Laura Ashley look. With summer in full swing, there’s never been a better time to embrace the new flower power.
