An ornery opossum busted into a Florida liquor store where it was found boozing on Black Friday.
An employee at Cash’s Liquor Store on Fort Walton Beach discovered the drunken marsupial next to an empty bottle of alcohol.
The opossum, said to be a female juvenile, was taken to the Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge afterward, according to NWF Daily News.

Wildlife health technician at the refuge, Michelle Pettis, said when the opossum arrived, it wasn’t ‘fully acting’ right.
‘A worker there found the opossum up on a shelf next to a cracked open bottle of liquor with nothing in it … assuming the opossum drank it all, he brought her to us, and we looked over her,’ Pettis said.
That’s when she noticed the opossum’s face was discolored and it was salivating at the mouth.

‘We loaded her up with fluids to help flush out any alcohol toxins. She was good a couple of days later and was released Thursday night,’ she added.
Cash Moore, the store owner, told the newspaper the opossum somehow broke into the shop and knocked down the bottle of bourbon down from a shelf.
‘When she got down on the floor she drank the whole damn bottle.’ Moore said.
The incident took him by surprise, as he added it was a ‘pretty unusual’ thing to see.
