Oprah Winfrey ‘filming Doria Ragland TV interview in Britain’

  • Doria had a six-hour meeting with Oprah at the talk show host’s mansion in April
  • The pair are said to be planning an interview about Ms Ragland and Meghan
  • It was reported today that the interview could be filmed while they are in the UK
  • It’s said Oprah was invited to the wedding to give her an insight into the family

Meghan Markle’s mother will film a planned interview with Oprah Winfrey while the pair are in London after the royal wedding, it was reported today.

It has been rumoured that Doria Ragland will give a tell-all interview to Oprah ever since she visited the world-famous talk show host’s £70million ($88million) ‘Promised Land’ mansion in Santa Barbara last month.

It was claimed the two women are now planning to meet up in the UK to film the chat, although there is strict secrecy about what Ms Ragland will speak about and when the potentially-fascinating interview will be aired.

Oprah, 64, is said to have spent six hours with Ms Ragland at her mansion on Saturday, April 28, before Ms Ragland was seen leaving, laden with gifts from the media mogul.

A source told The Sun today that Oprah was invited to the wedding to better understand Meghan and her mother’s situation ahead of the interview.

The source said: ‘The plan is for Doria to film part of her interview while Oprah is in London. That’s why she was invited to the wedding.’

Yoga instructor and social worker Ms Ragland flew into Britain on Wednesday, three days before the wedding, and was spotted crying in St George’s Chapel, Windsor ahead of her daughter’s arrival.

She was later seen catching up on some sleep as she was driven from the chapel to her daughter’s reception party.

It was previously claimed that Ms Ragland planned to use the interview with Oprah to reveal the racism that Meghan has suffered since her engagement to Prince Harry was first announced.

The royal couple were at the centre of an anthrax scare earlier this year, when a suspicious letter containing white powder was sent to St James Palace addressed to Harry and Meghan. Police treated the incident as ‘a racist hate crime’.
