An Oregon man traveled 22 miles by foot in seek of medical assistance for his father after the pair crashed off an icy road.
Danny Treskey Jr., 42, of Myrtle Creek, and his father, Danny Treskey Sr., 67, were on a hunting outing at the time the accident happened near the Acker Rock Lookout Cabin in Tiller Tuesday afternoon.
After the crash, Treskey left his father to wait inside the vehicle as he set out on the treacherous trip through the snow.
As he walked into a familiar area late that evening, Treskey finally came into contact with his brother, who assisted him in contacting 911.

It wasn’t until after 11pm that night when the crash was reported to Douglas County dispatchers.
Just shy of 2am Wednesday, a response team located the elder Treskey, according to KCBY Oregon.
He was reportedly responsive but appeared uncomfortable and cold after waiting in the vehicle for several hours.
The father was transported to the Mercy Medical Center in Roseburg, where he received further examination.
The Acker Rock Trail is a popular destination for ‘numerous recreation opportunities’ including rock climbing, hiking, wildlife viewing and fishing, according to recreation.gov.
Along the trail sits a ‘172-mile Rogue-Umpqua National Scenic Byway’ and ‘100 miles of trail (through) the Rogue Umpqua Divide.’
