Orlando has already topped the list for most popular family vacation spot, but now it can add another jewel to its crown.
The Florida city, and home of Disney World, has come out on top of a study by WalletHub looking at the best cities in America to have a wedding, beating Las Vegas for the top spot.
The research looked at factors of costs, facilities & services and activities & attractions across 182 cities, which included the 150 most-populated cities as well as at least two of the most populated cities in each state.

The goal was to find the destinations across the country that can meet the sweet spot of having the least impact on the wallet, while also maximizing entertainment and facilities.
‘We examined each city across 23 key indicators of wedding-friendliness, ranging from average wedding cost to venues and event spaces per capita to hotel availability,’ the budget-focused site explained.
The top five in the list includes Orlando, Las Vegas, Atlanta, Los Angeles and Miami – making Florida home to two of the top wedding locations.
Tip top: The top ten includes two Florida cities and three in California
Runner up: Orlando beat out elopement-favorite Las Vegas for the top spot in the list
However, Florida is beat out by California in the overall top ten, as it’s rounded out by San Diego, San Francisco, Chicago, New York and Portland.
Of course there had to be a last place, and when it comes to the 182 cities in this list, the bottom rung is claimed by Bridgeport, Connecticut.
It seems that many spots in New England are less than ideal, as the seaport city of Bridgeport was only slightly lower than last place runners-up Warwick, Rhode Island; South Burlington, Vermont; and Worcester, Massachusetts.
More to go: The study looked at everything from weather to number of flower shops
Not so much: Bridgeport, Connecticut, came last place in the list
New York unsurprisingly took the top spot for the priciest place to get hitched – followed by several surrounding cities such as Newark, Jersey City and Yonkers – but it also tops the list for best attractions.
Other measurements included best weather (Glendale, California), worst weather (Providence, Rhode Island), most wedding chapels/churchss (Detroit) and least wedding chapels/churches (Santa Clarita, California).
The new data will likely be useful information for couples currently planning their nuptials who may have been spooked by last year’s news from The Knot that the average wedding now costs more than $35,000.
