Osborne Park attack: Hunt for grub who knocked pensioner to the ground as he tried to board a bus in Perth

A two month manhunt continues for a man accused of knocking a pensioner to the ground while boarding a bus.

The incident happened at a Hutton Street bus stop in Osborne Park in Perth’s north-west shortly before 1pm on May 12. 

CCTV captured the elderly man walking toward the bus. 

Seconds later, a second man wearing a dark brown leather jacket, a printed t-shirt and black jeans knocked over the elderly passenger, who fell to the ground

Shocked passengers on the bus rushed to help the elderly man, who sustained cuts and grazes to his arm. 

The bus driver also got out of his cabin to assist the victim along with passers-by, who helped the man back onto his feet.

His alleged attacker initially alighted the bus but fled the scene a short time later. 

On Wednesday, Western Australia Police launched a public appeal by unveiling CCTV of the incident and images of a man they believe can assist with their inquiries.

The man was described as aged 20-30 medium build and short dark brown hair. 

Anyone with information is urged to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
