Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain collapsed to the ground twice less than 20 minutes into Liverpool’s Champions League semi-final first leg against Roma on Tuesday night.
Oxlade-Chamberlain was replaced by Georginio Wijnaldum in the 18th minute after he went down holding his right knee.
The former Arsenal player got to his feet and made it to the touchline but again fell down before Liverpool’s medical team could tend to him further.

Eventually he had to be taken down the players’ tunnel on a stretcher to the home dressing room.
There he received further treatment and underwent more precautionary checks.
It appears doubtful that he will be able to recover in time for Liverpool’s Premier League clash with Stoke on Saturday.

It brings into doubt his inclusion in the return leg of Liverpool’s Champions League semi-final, which is next Wednesday at the Stadio Olimpico.
England manager Gareth Southgate will have his own concerns ahead of this summer’s World Cup in Russia.
Southgate is expected to include Oxlade-Chamberlain in his 23-man squad and must finalise his travelling party by June 4.
