  • Oz Lotto drew a $30million jackpot on Tuesday
  • A Western Australian won the division one prize

An unsuspecting Aussie has become $30million richer from the biggest Oz Lotto draw this year.

The Western Australian player has become the sole division one winner of Oz Lotto’s draw 1521, worth $30million.

Entries for the draw closed 7.30pm on Tuesday night before the results were announced at 8.30pm.

The winning numbers were 19, 47, 15, 46, 12, 9 and 21 with the supplementary numbers  16, 34 and 30.

Tuesday’s division one winner has joined a string of recent lucky lottery players across WA – including one ticketholder who won the entire $40million Powerball jackpot in March.

Oz Lotto will draw its biggest jackpot this year, worth $30million, at 8.30pm on Tuesday night

The Oz Lotto winner bought their ticket from the state’s lottery service, Lotterywest, online. The winner has not come forward publicly.

‘We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome yet another big win for WA, only a few weeks after celebrating a Swan Valley family taking home $40 million in Powerball,’ Lotterywest CEO Ralph Addis said.

‘The WA community is also a winner following tonight’s draw, with more than $1.27 million raised thanks to players over the five-week jackpot roll which will contribute to our grants program.’

Another six players took home $64,355.20 from the division two prize pool and another 88 division three winners received $5,185.65 each.

Two of those division two players were also Western Australians who purchased their tickets through Lotterywest.

The jackpot was the largest offered by Oz Lotto so far this year, only equalled by this week’s Powerball draw for the country’s biggest lottery prize.

‘This week, Aussies have the chance to win $30million twice with both Oz Lotto on Tuesday night and Powerball on Thursday night offering this giant prize,’ The Lott spokesperson Matt Hart said.

Tickets for Oz Lotto draw 1521 will be available online or at licensed lottery outlets until 7.30pm

If a first division winner is announced on Tuesday, they will become the sixth division one winner of 2023.

‘As we head into the cooler months, your plans for the future could be just heating up with an Oz Lotto prize of this magnitude,’ Hart said.

‘We’ve had a steady stream of Oz Lotto division one wins so far this year, which is why we haven’t seen the jackpot climb too high… until now.

‘This $30 million prize is the highest Oz Lotto has reached so far in 2023.

‘Will we have another division one winner this week or will the Oz Lotto jackpot soar higher for next week’s draw? Only time will tell.’

Aussies looking to try their hand at Oz Lotto can either choose seven number between one and 47 or opt for a QuickPick, which chooses the numbers for you.

Oz Lotto said its most frequently drawn number last year were 9, 37, 27, 5 and 24 while the least drawn were 26, 15, 43, 35 and 34.

All five division one winners, who took home a collective $63million, this year claimed their prizes of QuickPick tickets.

Tickets for Tuesday’s draw were available online or at licensed lottery outlets until 7.30pm.

Registered jackpot winners will be contacted by The Lott following the draw at 8.30pm.

Unregistered players need to check their tickets themselves and contact The Lott to begin the claim process.

Ticketholders can check their numbers either online, at licenced lottery outlets or on The Lott app.
