Pakistani taxi driver who came to Australia for a better life after his parents were killed by the Taliban is jailed for molesting drunk female passengers

A taxi driver has been jailed for molesting two drunk female passengers he picked up from a nightclub in Queensland.
Pakistani national Sayed Mirza Hussain, 34, drove a woman, 53, home from The Cube Hotel, in Toowoomba, on December 17 about 12.30am.
Crown prosecutor Alisha Ballantyne told the Toowoomba District Court the woman allowed Hussain to use her bathroom, The Chronicle reported.

When he entered the house, Hussain forced himself on the victim and tried to kiss her on the lips.
The 53-year-old pulled away from the advance but Hussain attempted again and she pushed him off.
Hussain left the property and the woman reported the sexual assault to police.
On the early hours of January 27, Hussain picked up a 27-year-old woman from the same venue.
She fell asleep in the taxi but awoke to learn Hussain travelled had passed her house and pulled over in a street close by.
Ms Ballantyne said Hussain tried to pull the 27-year-old from the car and kissed her on the lips, while suggesting the pair go inside.
He then unbuckled her belt and pushed his hand down the front of her pants.
Amid a scuffle, the woman eventually pushed Hussain away and ordered him to drive her home.

Hussain moved to Australia after his sister and father were killed by the Taliban in Pakistan, his barrister Jessica Goldie told the court.
Hussain, who had no previous criminal history, was working two jobs in a bid to send money to his wife and son who still live in Pakistan.
Ms Goldie said Hussain expressed ‘deep remorse, regret and shame’ for the assaults.
Judge Bernard Porter QC said the this kind of attack ‘is every woman’s nightmare’.
Hussain pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual assault and was sentenced to 15 months in jail.
He is eligible to apply for parole after four months served.
