Pamela Anderson says she gained 25lbs while writing her memoir Love, Pamela

Pamela Anderson revealed that writing her upcoming memoir ‘Love, Pamela’ without the help of a ghostwriter took a physical toll on her.

The Baywatch star, 55 — who’s famous for her sensational bikini body — told Howard Stern in a new interview on Wednesday that she gained 25 pounds in the process of writing the book.

‘It was crazy, but I had a physical reaction to telling my story. It was almost like I was hanging on to something — It was protective… my puffy suit of armor,’ the Playboy beauty stated.

‘I don’t know what it was — I was thinking it was some kind of protection,’ she further added.

‘It wasn’t like I was eating any different, I’m vegan, I eat nuts and berries, you know, I don’t eat a lot. But my body was changing,’ she went on.

The Canadian superstar also told the shock jock that the weight dropped after she finished writing her story.

The Barb Wire star said she wondered whether the changes were simply due to ‘just getting old,’ and that even her mom asked why she no longer showed off her figure.

‘I just felt like, “What figure?” You know, I was just kind of joking,’ she added.

‘I was a mess at that time, so I kind of liked that I peeled back everything: No makeup, nothing like that, and I thought, “You know what? If you like me like this — if you like me at my worst, maybe you like me,”‘ she explained.

Her long-awaited memoir and her documentary, ‘Pamela: A Love Story,’ will both be released on January 31.

Elsewhere in the interview she delved more into her distaste for Hulu’s Pam & Tommy miniseries.

The actress — who said she has not watched the show and does not have plans to — admitted that she felt ‘run over’ after she allegedly learned of the show via an ad.

Pamela — who claims that Sylvester Stallone once offered her a ‘condo and a Porsche to be his number one girl’ in her new Netflix documentary — claimed to Stern that she had never been contacted about the series, which dramatizes the creation and subsequent theft of her infamous sex tape with her ex-husband Tommy Lee.

Even worse, she told Stern that — based on what friends told her — she didn’t belief the performances from Lily James or Sebastian Stan were particularly accurate.

She said: ‘I remember seeing this advert for Pam & Tommy and was like, what? No one called me, I’m still alive, no one asked me, it’s nothing to do with me.

‘I felt kinda run over by that one. I don’t think they portrayed Tommy or I very accurately. I haven’t seen it but I’ve heard from people that it’s a very shallow representation of us. I wish they would’ve called.

Stern asked her if she had ever considered contacting the production, or possibly actor and producer Seth Rogen, whom he described as ‘reasonable,’ but she said she hadn’t contacted anyone.

But even if she had gotten in touch, she doubted she would have wanted to revisit such a painful time in her life.

‘I don’t think I would have wanted to be involved, especially with that subject matter,’ she added. ‘Why? Why bring it all up again?’
