Pamela Salem, who is best known for appearing in James Bond film Never Say Never Again, has passed away aged 80.
The actress’ death was announced on Wednesday and tributes have poured in from those who knew her following her passing. Her cause of death has not been revealed.
Pamela played Miss Moneypenny in the 1983 James Bond film Never Say Never Again, during Sean Connery’s tenure.
She also enjoyed success for her roles in Doctor Who, EastEnders and American prison series The West Wing.
Big Finish, a British production company that makes sci-fi audio books and plays, announced Pamela’s passing and led the tributes.

They tweeted: ‘We are utterly heartbroken to confirm the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Pamela Salem’ and linked to a longer tribute on their website.
Pamela worked on several projects with Big Finish, namely the officially licensed audio drama Doctor Who spin-off Counter-Measures.
The series continued the story of several characters from the serial Remembrance of the Daleks (1988), and Pamela voiced Rachel Jensen, a professor and the scientific adviser who becomes the head of Counter-Measures.
Doctor Who screenwriter Gareth Roberts wrote: ‘Farewell, Pamela Salem. A fine actress. She always seemed such *fun*.’
Comedian and actor Angus Dunican who had written several Doctor Who specials for Big Finish wrote: ‘Sleep well Pamela Salem. I always loved how much you looked like you’d absolutely HAD IT with everyone today. RIP xXX.’
Old Vic Theatre actor Andrew Stocker added: ‘So sad to hear that dear lovely Pamela Salem has passed away. She starred in so many things.
‘The last time I saw Pamela was in 2018 where we had a good talk and shared memories of Chris Harris who Pamela had worked with on HTV’s Production of Into The Labyrinth. RIP dear lady.’

Pamela was born in Mumbai and studied at Heidelberg University in Germany before attending the Central School of Speech and Drama.
She began acting in 1969.
