Panda Ping Ping shows off his perfect grooming routine

Adorable footage has emerged which shows a panda grooming himself in a pond while getting ready to meet his best friends.

The young bear, Ping Ping, arrived at a zoo in east China on October 16 after being transferred from a panda reserve.

The two-year-old panda could be seen walking around his enclosure on his first day at the Nanjing Hongshan Forest Zoo before being reunited with his playmates He He and Jiu Jiu.

According to the zoo, staff members flew to China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda in Sichuan, south-west China, to arrange the transferral of Ping Ping last Saturday.

The fluffy panda arrived at the Nanjing Lukou International Airport at 10:24am on October 16 and was taken to the enclosure.

A video clip taken by the zookeepers captures Ping Ping wandering in his new home.

He then walked towards a small pond and started cleansing his fur.

The panda’s adorable moves have touched web users’ hearts.

‘It’s going to wash its ears off too if it kept washing its hair that hard,’ said ‘R-ancu’.

‘It’s so cute, I have to visit the panda,’ said ‘mengmengJY’.

Ping Ping’s best friends, He He and Jiu Jiu, are twin sisters.

They arrived at the Nanjing Hongshan Forest zoo two weeks earlier, were waiting in the corner of the enclosure patiently.

According to his keeper, Ping Ping was about two months older than the twin pandas.

‘Ping Ping is a gentleman and has a good temper. He He and Jiu Jiu are a bit naughty and will have fights over some time,’ the keeper said.
