Paramedics battle to save drowning woman’s life

  • Woman was found submerged in water at her Sunshine Coast home on Tuesday
  • She was unconscious with paramedics performing CPR to save her life 

Paramedics are desperately battling to save a woman’s life after she was found underwater in her home.

The woman is in a critical condition with paramedics performing CPR after they arrived on the scene to rescue her.

Triple-0 was called at 1.48pm on Boxing Day and an ambulance rushed to the home on Gibson Street in Tewantin on the Sunshine Coast.

She was found unconscious and submerged in water, and is not breathing with rescuers trying to restart her heart.

It was not clear whether the woman was immersed in a backyard pool, bath or another body of water.
