Paramedics have been captured desperately trying to revive a man clinging to life in the back of an ambulance following a suspected overdose at a music festival

The man appeared to still be receiving intubation as he was rushed inside and was earlier seen being resuscitated in the back of the ambulance.

Dozens of other revellers were charged with drug crimes over the weekend, including a 17-year-old Sydney boy holding 579 capsules and $2,075 cash.

Eight people were taken to hospital from Rolling Loud, four of whom suffered suspected drug overdoses during the hip hop festival.

They included a man and a woman in her 20s and a teenage girl who were serious but stable conditions, and a woman in her 20s in critical but stable condition.

More than 20,000 people packed into Sydney Showground on Sunday night for the hip hop festival, which was headlined by Future, Lil Uzi Vert, YG and Tyga.

Revellers were seen collapsing outside the entry gates moments after the event started.

The music event marked the end of a mammoth weekend for the city’s music fans, as the third festival of its kind in two days.

On Saturday night three men were left fighting for life following suspected drug overdoses at the Hardcore Till I Die festival.

Three other people were also taken to Westmead Hospital in instances where drugs were a ‘likely factor’ according to NSW Health.

All were discharged from hospital or in stable conditions by Sunday morning despite one of them falling into cardiac arrest at Westmead Hospital.

A witness told Daily Mail Australia of that man’s struggle to stay conscious before being rushed away by paramedics.

‘He was sitting there struggling so the medics came over and watched him. He couldn’t keep his head up and there was sweat pouring off him,’ the festival goer said.

‘Then he rolled his eyes and just fell sideways and they got the stretcher.

‘Hopefully he doesn’t die or we’ll all be in trouble.’

Seven people were also arrested on drug supply charges and dozens more handed court summons for drug possession.

They included a 17-year-old boy from Castle Hill allegedly caught with 579 MDMA capsules and $2,075 cash.

Another alleged supplier, aged 25, was allegedly found with 100 MDMA capsules and a knife and a South Australian woman allegedly had 48 ecstasy capsules on her.

At the Electric Gardens Festival in Centennial Park, two men, aged 26 and 38, were rushed to Prince of Wales Hospital in a serious condition along with a woman, 24, who was non-critical.

There were also 55 people charged with drug possession and one woman accused of MDMA and Ketamine supply.

The 25-year-old Guildford woman was granted conditional bail to appear at Waverley Local Court on Wednesday.

Footage of one of the arrests was captured by Seven News, showing a particularly disgruntled reveller being held down by five police.

NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian, whose government footed the bill for the extra protection, said she hoped and prayed people were starting to get the message to not take illicit drugs.
