A mother has revealed how parents can save their walls from children’s crayon scribbles – by wiping mayonnaise over the marks.

Jessica Hard, from Medford in Oregon, shared the bizarre hack on Facebook after she discovered it on Google while searching for a way to remove the unwanted ‘artwork’.

In a video, the mother holds a jar of Best Foods – also known as Hellmann’s – mayonnaise in one hand as she turns her attention to a blue crayon scribble on her white wall.

As Jessica wipes a cloth she dipped in the condiment across her wall, it miraculously disappears, leaving a clean surface where the crayon once was.

Others, however, were less than impressed with the hack – with one woman claiming the mayonnaise also leaves ‘huge greasy marks’ on your walls.

‘I learnt this the hard way,’ she said.

Another mused: ‘How do you get the mayonnaise off afterwards?’
