Australian parents are obsessing over an organiser idea used to categorise and store memorabilia for their children as they get older.

The archive box is filled with rows of files labelled with each schooling year beginning with kindergarten through to the current schooling year.

The clever idea is perfect for sorting your child’s school papers, artwork, report cards and pictures as they age.

Women part of the Mums Who Organise Facebook group praised the notion on Facebook and recommended purchasing the 35L ‘Really Useful’ plastic storage container from Officeworks.

‘I put the contents in a display folder and then in the suspension file, keeps the papers much neater,’ one mum wrote on Facebook.

‘I did one for my son. He’s not in school yet but just little random drawings paintings from his toddler stages,’ another said.

‘I have three kiddos which means a lot of paper comes home. This is the perfect way to organise and remember a year!’ a third added online.

Others suggested purchasing storage boxes from The Organised Housewife, Big W and Etsy.

The organiser will also ensure no precious items are misplaced and can be easily found.

Earlier this year another organised mum-of-three shared images of the ‘school station command centre’ she arranges to ensure each week runs smoothly and nothing is forgotten.

Marisa said she made the setup using a second-hand cupboard and placed it in the corner of her home office.

‘We have four children so it’s crazy remembering who is where and when!’ she wrote.
