Taking to Twitter on Tuesday, Paris vented her frustrations, writing: ‘cute. you guys are f**kin’ cowards. bet you don’t have the balls to call me that to my face @nuionline @JackieHeraldSun.’

The model, who was an international guest at Tuesday’s Melbourne Cup, posted a screen shot of the newspaper article a day later.

Paris captioned the post: ‘I couldn’t care less what they call me tbh but adding the “2.0” is their way of dragging my father into it and THAT I will not stand for.’

The brunette later followed suit with: ‘again i couldn’t care less that they call me, its the principle.’

Meanwhile, reports emerged that Paris had refused to wear a gown specially designed by fashion royalty Alex Perry.

According to The Sydney Morning Herald, Paris was due to wear a red gown, but shocked racing carnival sponsor Myer and the designer when she decided to don another ensemble.

The publication also reported that the social media sensation wanted to wear cowboy boots in the Birdcage, but was advised that they weren’t dressy enough for the carnival.

Instead, she matched her gypsy-inspired gown with a pair of ankle boots by designer Tony Bianco.

Paris’ representative has since vehemently denied these claims however, telling Daily Mail Australia: ‘This isn’t true. Paris couldn’t have refused to wear a custom-made Alex Perry design to the Melbourne Cup, as no such dress was ever made.’

‘Paris did wear a piece from Alex’s collection on the cover of Stellar Magazine,’ they explained.
