Off the tourist track, Hôtel de la Mare is in east Paris by the Parc de Belleville. The closest metro is a 10-minute walk away, though, and you can get into the heart of Paris in 10 to 15 minutes. Hôtel Darcet

Rating:

You can’t argue with rooms at €61 a night, especially when those rooms are a 10-minute walk from the Moulin Rouge and just around the corner from the Place de Clichy metro, which will spirit you away to anywhere else in the city. Rooms at Hotel Darcet are simple, with wood furniture and white bed covers. There’s a little suntrap of a terrace at the hotel, too, that’s coloured with potted plants, and is a great place to bring breakfast pastries back to, from one of the bakeries close to the property.
