A 19-year-old new mother was allegedly murdered by her partner at her home in Western Australia on New Year’s Eve.
The teenager’s body, which had wounds on her back and throat, was discovered by police at a property on Aldgate Street in Mandurah around 4pm on Sunday.
Junior Carlos, the woman’s partner, was charged with murder on Monday morning.
Neighbours reported hearing screams the night before police found the young woman’s lifeless body.
The woman’s six-week-old daughter was not in the house at the time.

Carlos, 26, was refused bail and appeared in Perth Magistrate’s Court on Monday afternoon dressed in a plastic forensic suit.
According to 9NEWS, he was joined by his family who were all ‘visibly upset’ and refused to answer questions from the media outside the courthouse.
Carlos will remain incarcerated at least until the end of January, when he will face court again.

‘A 26-year-old man from Mandurah, who was 25-years-old at the time of the alleged incident, has been charged with murder,’ a police spokesperson confirmed earlier on Monday.
