The 25-year-old athlete is a double amputee who was born with fibular hemimelia and had both of his legs amputated below the knee at just 11 months old.

He kickstarted his Paralympics career at the 2016 Rio Games, where he won a silver medal in the 200 meters and a bronze in the 400 meters.

Previously, he made history by becoming the first double amputee to earn a Division I track and field scholarship for the University of Arkansas.

Woodhall is set to compete in the 100-metre preliminary race on September 1 and the 400-metre race on September 6, and seems to be highly motivated as he prepares for this important phase of his life.

Speaking to NBC News, the athlete stated: ‘I’m feeling really good, mentally and physically.

‘Watching Tara in Paris was a really great visualisation. So I’m prepared,’ he added.
