Party-goers dressed up in bizarre and ingenious costumes for the 25th edition of the Paris Manga & Sci-Fi Show.
Scores of people flocked to the 48-hour festival this weekend at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles where activities included video games, animations and friendly competitions.
And manga fans, showcasing their elaborate and downright odd get-ups, turned out in force to mark the annual celebration of comic book heroes.
Standing tall: This proud festival-goer showed off his Captain America outfit complete with an enormous blue, red and white trademark belt buckle and chin-strapped helmet
Ready to ram-ble: This attendee dressed head-to-toe in a silver, red and black ensemble resembling an intimidating-looking ram with enormous horns protruding from the helmet
Suited and booted: This man looked snug in his The Flash outfit with a red muscle jumpsuit adorned with the thunderbolt logo
Watch out! This party-goer dressed up in a red, black and white Harley Quinn costume and arrived carrying an enormous hammer with the words ‘your face here’ written on one end

Party time: This woman put her own mark on the outfit worn by manga character Sailor Moon, slipping on some blue and white striped gloves and matching sailor hat
Put your hands up: This man composed a bizarre regal outfit including a bejeweled sparkling scepter, gold hand gun and dalmatian-patterned shrug
Nobody move: This woman opted for an odd mix of kamikaze pilot and cowgirl with two enormous shotguns and an aviator hat, completing the look with bright red locks draped over a tight brown top
Diamond geezer: This festival-goer opted for a viking-like helmet and blue corset strapped over a black top, while carrying what appears to be a weight attached to rope
Multicoloured: This woman pulled out all the stops with her creative get-up, attaching a pair of lantern-adorned wings to the back of he red and white costume
