Pasquale Barbaro and Rossario shared matching tattoos

They were the blinged-up brothers with identical tattoos of the simple Italian creed malavita – meaning ‘the bad life’.

But mafia enforcer Pasquale Barbaro, 35, and his electrician younger brother Rossario, 28, are now together in death.

This week it emerged Rossario died by suicide on the Gold Coast in June, just months after Pasquale was gunned down in a Sydney street.

The brothers were said to be close, sharing the same body art – as well as a taste for crime and voluptuous women.

Pasquale had 'malavita' draped around his neck

Meantime, Rossario had the word - Italian for 'the bad life' stamped across the small of his waist

Both men covered themselves head-to-foot in ink, draping the words ‘LOST ANGEL’ between their shoulder blades.

‘Malavita’ was etched around Pasquale’s neck, while the same word was branded into the small of Rossario’s waist.

The rest of their bodies were etched with unique artwork, with Rossario’s back dominated by his initials and Pasquale inked with roses, thorns and money.

Rossario – who spent time behind bars in Queensland over alleged ice-related offences – reportedly venerated his brother and was known as his ‘shadow’.

News Corp reported he was ‘never himself again’ following his brother’s sudden slaying in a Sydney street last November.

Both men left behind devastated women.

‘I miss you so much, I can’t wait for the day I see you again…

‘I held your hand through the pain next to you everyday for the past year then through hospital.

‘Now I hold your hand in my dreams, until we’re in the skies and I see you eye to eye.’

Following Pasquale’s slaying last year, his then-girlfriend Chantel Baptista said: ‘I am grieving – I am really sad for his family too’.

Rossario’s death is being investigated by the Queensland State Coroner.
