If you are a regular user of public transport, you will know the difficulty commuters face trying to get a seat.

However one canny man in China believes he has found an way of ensuring he has somewhere to sit on the train. 

In a bizarre video posted to Live Leak, the unidentified man collapses to the floor and fakes a seizure in a move which leaves the carriage virtually empty.

Juddering backwards and forwards, alarmed passengers leaped to their feet and left him momentarily before he jumps up and chooses his seat of choice.

Many who viewed the clip online – titled ‘How to get a seat on a train in China – were appalled by the behaviour of the commuters.  

One person said: ‘Nobody cares that’s why they all moved away. He could have been dying and no one would have helped.’

While another said: ‘This is disgusting.’ 

The viral video has sparked the debate about whether travellers in the one of the biggest country’s in the world should help genuine victims. 

The Chinese courts were criticised when a person who helped an elderly woman who fell over was sued for£4,000.
