Passenger pleads with motorbike hoon to stop speeding

A motorbike rider could be facing serious charges after footage emerged of him travelling 70km/h over the speed limit.

Dashcam footage shows the motorbike speeding along a road on the New South Wales Central Coast as a panicked passenger begs him to stop.

‘Stop, stop. Slow down. Slow down, slow down, slow down, slow down,’ the passenger can be heard saying.

‘Oh, mate. I want to get off,’ he says, before the rider reassures him that ‘it’s all right’ and tells him to ‘calm down’.

New South Wales Police said the rider went from zero to 153km/h in just seconds, and that they know who the rider is, Seven News reported.

Traffic and Highway Patrol believe both men are members of a secret biker group who are known for their reckless riding.

‘We’re going to come and knock on your door very shortly,’ Assistant Commissioner Michael Corboy said.

‘We will be treating them as a gang and will be targeting them through a whole range of different covert and overt methods.’

New South Wales Police plan to use the full force of the law in stopping similar behaviour from happening again.

‘Luke’, a biking enthusiast, told Seven News the biking community ‘don’t condone this sort of behaviour’.
