PatBO delivers modern take on evening dressing inspired by ’90s ‘It’ girl

Patricia Bonaldi presented PatBO’s fall 2023 collection during New York Fashion Week in the grand, marble-lined atrium of the city’s historic Surrogate’s Court.

Bonaldi is the creator of the iconic bathing suit dress worn by just about every ‘it’ girl, but as we saw last season, her talents extend far beyond resort wear.

For her latest eponymous collection she ups the ante even further with red carpet-worthy evening gowns, elegant beach frocks, and blow-your-mind separates hand crafted by her team of Brazilian artisans.

Sitting front row at Patricia’s fourth ever runway show held in the marble-lined atrium of New York’s historic Surrogate’s Court was actress Ashley Park and singer Kelsea Ballerini.

Ashley looked incredible in PatBO’s hand-beaded scoop bodysuit with sequin wide leg pants and a silk bomber with hand-sewn crystals and rhinestones in purple from the runway collection.

Kelsea was beautiful in red, donning a sequin blazer and fully sequined wide leg pants from the new collection – a favorite of editor’s in the crowd. 

Other notables include Nadine Leopold, Amber Ruffin, Elizabeth Gillies, Arlissa and Devon Windsor, to name a few.

Jewel tones were present in blues, yellow, purple and green

Surrogate’s Court is a historic building that sits at the northwest corner of Chambers and Centre Streets in the Civic Center of Manhattan in New York City.

Completed in 1907, it was designed in the Beaux Arts style, a dominant type of architecture in the United States between the late 19th century and early 20th century.

Influenced by classical and opulent Roman and Greek decorative elements, the grandeur of Surrogate’s Court made for the perfect backdrop for PatBO’s incredible fashions.
