Patricia Arquette is showered with support after sharing the crew on David Lynch’s Lost Highway said ‘gross things’ about her during nude scene

Patricia Arquette is getting showered by support after revealing she was made to feel uncomfortable during a nude scene on the set of the 1997 David Lynch film Lost Highway.

The 55-year-old Academy Award winner said last week while at a forum at Series Mania in Lille, France, that it really took her aback

‘I was so extremely modest, I would take a bath in the dark. The scene when my character had to strip was terrifying to me,’ said Arquette, according to Too Fab.

‘Some of the guys were saying crude things and I told David, “I am not comfortable –they are saying gross things,”‘ she recounted.

Now her fans have stepped up.

‘That was so brave of you to tell your story, I hate how women have to suffer so much on movie sets,’ said one fan online while another added, ‘Props to you for speaking up, it takes beautiful guts to tell an ugly Hollywood story.’

Although Lynch initially thought she was talking about the script, he took a second to understand the situation before asking her, ‘Wait, who said what?’

‘When I came back, all these men were looking at their feet, all apologetic,’ said Arquette.

‘I do have a tough side, I’ll tell ya,’ she added, noting she also stuck up for herself while making the movie.

‘It was supposed to be a closed set.’

‘I said, “If I take this robe off and I look at you, and I know you don’t have to be there, I am going to punch you in the face,”‘ Arquette recalled.

She also recalled telling costar Balthazar Getty: ‘Just keep your hands on my tits.’

‘I would rather you hold them than the whole world saw them,’ she told him.

Arquette played two characters in Lynch’s 1997 thriller, which follows a jazz musician (Bill Pullman) who’s convinced his wife Renee (Arquette) is having an affair, only to become accused of her murder.

In an intersecting story, a young mechanic (Getty) finds himself in the web of a cheating temptress Alice (Arquette) and her gangster boyfriend (Robert Loggia).
