Patrick J. Adams says Suits creator has been ‘interested’ in reunion film: ‘Trying to get the band back together’

Suits star Patrick J. Adams said the show’s creator Aaron Korsh has been open to reunite the stars of the series for a film.

‘It’s definitely something [Korsh] is interested in doing, trying to get the band back together,’ Adams, 42, said Sunday while appearing on a panel at the ATX TV Festival in Austin, Texas, according to Deadline.

Adams was flanked on the ATX panel by his costars Dulé Hill, Sarah Rafferty, Amanda Schull and Abigail Spencer on the panel.

‘It’s gonna depend on a million things if that can happen, but is it possible,’ Adams said.

The series ran for nine seasons over 2011–2019, and featured Meghan Markle during the time she began seeing Prince Harry.

Adams and Hill, 49, both confirmed they would be interested in a reunion film.

‘I’ll say as a fan of USA shows becoming films, I would definitely like to be doing another one,’ Hill said.

Hill has appeared in multiple spinoff films based off Psych, the USA Network series he starred on from 2006–2014.

A spinoff of Suits, titled Suits: LA, is currently in production after the show spiked in popularity last year when its initial eight seasons began streaming on Netflix.

The spinoff will feature Stephen Amell in the lead role as Ted Black, a hotshot Los Angeles lawyer who was once a federal prosecutor in New York City.

The spinoff series will also star Josh McDermitt, Lex Scott Davis and Bryan Greenberg.

Meghan will not be involved in the spinoff, insiders told Dailymail.com in February, noting that she had been interested in getting involved on the production side, but not in front of the camera.

Rafferty and Adams are also set to begin work on a SiriusXM podcast in which they watch along with shows on the legal drama, titled Sidebar: A Suits Watch Podcast.

Adams played the role of Mike Ross on 111 episodes of the series, and said he would be open to reprise the part amid the show's recent popularity

They added: ‘We are thrilled to collaborate with the incredible team at SiriusXM and look forward to connecting with our friends from the cast and crew, as well as the Suits fans who made it all possible.’

Netflix said it will begin airing the ninth and last Suits season July 1, Deadline reported.
