Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes claimed teammate Kadarius Toney’s reaction to his mistake will define him.
The Chiefs fell to 8-5 following a frustrating 20-17 loss to the Buffalo Bills Sunday, which ended in dramatic scenes when Toney’s potentially game-winning touchdown was overturned due to an offside penalty call on the wide receiver.
The offside call cost Kansas City the win but Mahomes, who was left raging on the field at the end of the game, claimed the error wouldn’t define Toney.
‘Just be you man. . . . You make one mistake, that’s not gonna define you. It’s gonna be how you respond to that mistake,’ Mahomes said, via PJ Green of Fox 4 in Kansas City.
The quarterback added that ‘all the receivers know I believe in them’.
