Patrick Peterson does penalty kick celebration while Vikings defeat New York Giants 27-24

Football meets… football! Patrick Peterson performs a hilarious penalty kick celebration as the Minnesota Vikings defeat New York Giants 27-24 in nail biting Christmas Eve game

The Minnesota Vikings defense celebrated an interception early in the fourth quarter against the New York Giants with a special twist.

Vikings all-pro corner Patrick Peterson intercepted a pass from Daniel Jones and after the defense ran to the endzone to celebrate Peterson and fellow defensive back Duke Shelly reenacted a penalty kick in the spirit of the recently completed World Cup.

Shelly emulated a goalkeeper diving as Peterson pretended to run up to the spot and kick the football on the ground pretending to kick it, and then sliding on his knees in celebration.
