It was a night of stars in the Hamptons Saturday.
As part of the Hamptons International Film Festival held at Guild Hall, Julie Andrews was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award.
The function was also attended by Patrick Stewart and Alec Baldwin, the festival’s co-chairman who presented the 82-year-old entertainer with the honors.

For the event, Andrews wore a silver and black patterned jacket over a white top with black slacks and black shoes. Stewart, 77, the star of Star Trek: The Next Generation, wore a navy blue blazer over a white collared shirt with grey jeans and olive sneakers. Alec looked dapper in a navy blue blazer with gold buttons over a checkered collared shirt with black pants.
Andrews, famed for her roles in The Sound of Music and Mary Poppins, chat onstage at the event with Baldwin, who ditched his weekly Donald Trump impersonation on Saturday Night Life to preside over the festival on its 25th anniversary.
In their Q&A, according to Newsday, Andrews opened up about how her initial disappointment over losing the role of Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady to Audrey Hepburn, saying, ‘Somewhere inside there was a little twinge.’
Still, Andrews was able to rebound fast when Walt Disney offered her the titular role in 1964’s Mary Poppins, for which she earned the Academy Award-winning for Best Actress in a Leading Role.

‘It’s very hard to be frustrated and upset when Mr. Disney comes along and says, “Would you like to do Mary Poppins?”‘ she recalled. ‘I wasn’t angry, believe me.’
Baldwin gushed with praise for the Tinseltown icon for that role and the others that followed on her illustrious resume.
‘Julie Andrews is a true icon and captured the hearts and imaginations of children and adults alike the moment she first appeared on screen in Mary Poppins,’ he said on behalf of the festival. ‘Since then she has never ceased to amaze and stands as a true role model and inspiration.

The event also included a showing of Victor/Victoria, the 1982 musical she starred in that was directed by her late spouse Blake Edwards, who died in 2010.
Notable names on hand at the festival on Saturday included The Big Sick’s Kumail Nanjiani, reality star Jill Zarin, celeb couple Kate Mara and Jamie Bell, and Timothee Chalamet, the breakout star of Call Me By Your Name.
