- Paul Pogba suffered a hamstring injury during last week’s victory over Basle
- It was suggested France midfielder might be sidelined for three months
- But Jose Mourinho played down these reports after 4-0 win over Everton
- And Pogba has now posted Instagram video clip of himself dancing
- He appears to be moving well enough despite the hamstring problem
Paul Pogba has offered encouragement to Manchester United fans that he won’t be on the sidelines for too long with some energetic dance moves in his latest Instagram video.
There were fears at the weekend the midfielder might be out for three months after damaging a hamstring during United’s 3-0 Champions League win over Basle last week.
But this was downplayed by manager Jose Mourinho at the weekend when he suggested Pogba may be out for a matter of days, rather than weeks.
Paul Pogba has suggested his hamstring injury is just a minor one by posting a clip of him dancing on his Instagram account
The Manchester United midfielder is pictured dancing around a room in the club’s training complex in just his boxer shorts and a scarf
Pogba shows off plenty of flexibility in his dance routine, suggesting his hamstring problem isn’t exactly serious
The France midfielder captioned the video by saying he was still happy despite the injury
And Pogba’s latest social media post suggests the French star may be back even sooner than that.
The short clip, filmed by defender Axel Tuanzebe, shows Pogba, wearing just a pair of black boxer shorts and a black scarf, dancing his way through a room in United’s training complex.
The flexibility shown by Pogba in the video certainly suggests that his hamstring is on the mend.
Pogba captioned the post: ‘Happiness is always there even [when] injured.. yaaaaah. @axeltuanzebe your laugh #manchesterunited #dance.’

Some reports suggested Pogba would be sidelined for anything up to three months
But Jose Mourinho suggested at the weekend that Pogba’s injury might not be as serious
Speaking after United’s 4-0 win over Everton on Sunday, Mourinho downplayed speculation Pogba would be out for three months.
He said: ‘I don’t know if it is 12 weeks or 12 days. Any rumour is totally wrong, because we do not know if it is 12 weeks or 12 days.’
United are in the process of assessing the severity of Pogba’s hamstring problem, but he is unlikely to return in the next week or two.
Wednesday night’s Carabao Cup third round tie with Burton Albion will certainly come too soon, as will likely this weekend’s Premier League trip to Southampton and next Wednesday’s Champions League visit to CSKA Moscow.
Pogba had made an outstanding start to the season in a free-scoring United side who find themselves joint-top of the table with Manchester City.
