Paul Pogba’s Manchester United team-mates ‘are desperate for him to stay and would be DEVASTATED if he left Old Trafford this summer’… as speculation rumbles on over a possible return to Juventus for the Frenchman
- Paul Pogba’s contract at Manchester United expires at the end of next season
- The 28-year-old has been linked with a move away by agent Mino Raiola
- Links continue suggesting the Frenchman could move back to Juventus in Italy
- The Sun claim such a move would devastate Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad
Paul Pogba would break the hearts of his Manchester United team-mates if he decides to leave Old Trafford this summer, according to reports.
The 28-year-old will enter the final 12 months of his deal in June and has been repeatedly linked with former club Juventus.
The Frenchman’s agent Mino Raiola has previously linked the midfielder with a move away, and should he leave Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side this summer, The Sun claim that would devastate other members of the squad.

The Sun claim Pogba remains one of the most popular members in the Old Trafford squad
The report adds despite his uneasy relationship with the Old Trafford faithful due to the constant links away, he remains a hugely popular figure within the dressing room.
A source told The Sun: ‘Paul may be regarded with suspicion by a lot of the fanbase because of his agent courting other clubs, but there is no doubt where the players stand with him.
‘They recognise he is one of the team’s stars and he is as desperate as they are for the club to be successful again.
‘He is well-liked by all his team-mates and no one wants him to leave. But they also understand if a player is unhappy, it usually leads to his departure.
His agent Mino Raiola said in December that his time at Manchester United was over
‘They all hope he will start the next season at Old Trafford.’
The report comes more than a week after claims in Italy the World Cup winner will almost certainly leave United this summer.
Tuttosport revealed that a ‘divorce suits everyone’ could happen at the end of the season and it will be down to agent Raiola, rather than Pogba or United, as to what happens next for the midfielder.
Pogba was brought back to Old Trafford for a record £89million in 2016 but has failed to live up to the lofty expectations set following his arrival.
The Frenchman made the switch from Manchester to Turin as an academy star back in 2012, before returning four years later.

In December last year, super agent Raiola said: ‘I can say it’s over for Paul Pogba at Manchester United.
‘There’s no use ignoring it. It’s better to speak honestly, look to the future and not waste time trying to blame people: Paul is unhappy at Manchester United, he can no longer express himself as he wants to or in the way that’s expected of him.
‘He needs to change team, he needs a change of scene. He has a contract that expires in a year and a half’s time, in the summer of 2022, but I think the best solution would be for him to leave in the next transfer window.’
However, Solskjaer hinted in February that Pogba could indeed sign a new deal, stating: ‘We’ve got a good open dialogue with Paul so what we talk about and how we see that situation remains between us.
Pogba’s deal expires next summer but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has hinted at a new deal
‘I’m just happy he’s focused and playing really well. He’s happy within himself and that’s important: you can see Paul enjoying football himself with a red shirt on.
‘Our conversations remain private, of course. But for example, Paul is a Manchester United player through and through. He’s been here in two spells. He came as a kid, he’s learnt about the history of the club, the passion of the club.
‘He wants to do the best for United when he’s here and I think we’ve seen that – that he really cares for his team and he’s trying to be as successful as everyone else.’
