Paula Abdul confirms her ‘superhero’ dad Harry passed away… one year after her mother Lorraine’s death
Paula Abdul announced the passing of her father Harry on Instagram.
The former American Idol judge took to the social media site to pay tribute to her dad’s life with a series of photos of them together on Wednesday.
Harry’s passing occurred a little over a year after her mom Lorraine’s January 2018 death.

In her sweet caption, the 56-year-old choreographer wrote, ‘“Dad: a daughters first love.” – Unknown —’
The Straight Up hitmaker continued: ‘Everyone loved my father. He had a heart of gold and carried his heart on his sleeve wherever he went, and shared it with everyone he came in contact with.’
‘Isn’t it a beautiful gift that I still feel his spirit with me?’
‘My Father was, and always will be, my superhero. [HEART EMOJI, PRAYER HANDS EMOJI]’.

Harry Abdul died after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease at the age of 85, according to Radar Online.
Paula’s mother Lorraine was also 85 at the time of her passing.
‘Lorraine died with her daughters Paula and Wendy by her side,’ Abdul’s cousin Tara Riceberg told PEOPLE at the time.
