Prime Minister Scott Morrison will call the federal election on May 18, according to Pauline Hanson.

The latest possibly constitutional date for the election in May 18 due to former prime minister Malcolm Turnball calling a double dissolution election in 2016.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison will call the federal election on May 18, according to Pauline Hanson

‘The biggest fight for our country is due to be called this weekend,’ Senator Hanson said on Friday afternoon.

Mr Morrison could wait another week to call the election as it must be announced 33 days ahead – which would be April 15 – but could opt for six-week campaign.

Elections are typically announced on Fridays or Saturdays ahead of official documents being lodged the following Monday.

Senator Hanson made the prediction from her hospital bed where she was having her appendix removed, shortly before she was discharged.

‘Never forget it is the Liberal/Nationals, Labor and especially the Greens who have continually destroyed our country and way of life,’ she said.

‘It has happened through UN interference or control, free trade agreements and most importantly, poor leadership, dull judgement, lack of vision, and self interest.

‘I may not know everything, but I do know I could do a lot better than some of these sycophants.’

More to come.
