Pauline Hanson wants the children of ISIS fighters to be stripped of their Australian citizenship.
The One Nation leader made the call after it was revealed the wife and child of a notorious Islamic State member had returned to Australia from the Middle East last year.
‘Their parents made the choice. Every time a parent goes over there and fights, we’ve got to feel sorry for the child? No,’ Senator Hanson told Sky News on Thursday.

The Queensland senator referenced western Sydney ISIS fighter Khaled Sharouf, who travelled to Syria in December 2013.
In August 2014, Sharrouf’s seven-year old son was pictured holding a severed head of a Syrian soldier.
Senator Hanson said the children of ISIS fighters would be a threat to other Australians.
‘Do I want those children ever to be in a classroom beside my grandchildren?,’ she said. ‘No, I don’t.’

Sharouf’s Australian wife Tara Nettleton, who was the mother of his five children, died in 2016 from appendicitis complications.
Her mother Karen travelled to Syria soon after her daughter’s death and tried unsuccessfully to find her grandchildren.
This was after reports her terrorist son-in-law had been killed by a drone strike.
Senator Hanson said the majority of Australians opposed allowing the children of ISIS fighters to return home.

‘The parent has to be responsible for the child. They’ve got to make the decision,’ she said.
‘I don’t want these people back here. They are against what we stand for.’
In the latest case, a three-year-old child and his mother returned to Australia last year after his terrorist father was killed fighting in the Middle East conflict.
The jihadist, described by counter-terror police as a ‘hard-core fighter’, and his wife travelled had there in 2015 to fight for the Islamist group.
