‘Pay with Google’ launches to speed up online checkouts

‘Pay with Google’ has launched for Android users worldwide to speed up online checkouts on mobile devices.

Normally, users would have to fill out multiple forms for different sites when paying for services.

But now they can simply choose any of the credit or debit cards added to their Google Account through Google Play, YouTube, Chrome or Android Pay.

Users can now simply choose any of the credit or debit cards added to their Google Account through Google Play, YouTube, Chrome or Android Pay.

Google sends the service your payment info and shipping address using the information from your account meaning you don’t need to type them in.

The feature can be used in the Android app on Chrome.

Pay with Google uses the Google Payment API which has launched globally.

Services available now include Eat24, travel planning firm Kayak, Instacart, and parking reservation service Spot Hero.

‘Starting today you can now speed through online checkout on many of your favourite apps and websites with a few quick clicks’, Pali Bhat, VP of Google product management wrote on a Google blog.

‘Google sends the merchant your payment info and shipping address using the information from your account—no typing required.

Google says it does not charge a transaction fee for use of the feature.

It also works with Google assistant so users can tell the assistant to pay certain people from a user’s friend’s list and then it will ask for authentication, writes BGR.
