Peak hour commuters in Melbourne can expect major traffic delays after a car ploughed into a power pole in the early hours of the morning.
Part of Melbourne’s busy Punt Road is expected to be closed until at least noon on Friday.

Two women managed to make their way to hospital in an Uber, where they remain in a stable condition.
Punt Road is closed in both directions between High Street and Commercial Road and peak-hour motorists are urged to avoid the area.
Victoria police are currently at the scene diverting traffic.
Victoria Roads has told drivers to use alternative routes including Kilda Road, Chapel Street and Williams Road.
